All school boards in Ontario, including ours, will now evaluate their Directors of Education every year, as of March 2024. This new annual assessment will be based on both mandatory criteria and any specific priorities set by our school board, as required by Ontario Regulation 83/24.

Dear Families, As we move towards the last week of the 2025-2026 school year, I want to share a few important updates and reminders as we wrap up the year and begin looking ahead to September.

At its regular meeting on June 17, 2026, the Limestone District School Board of Trustees approved a $340.5 million budget for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a deficit budget balanced through the use of reserve funds.

The Grades 6, 7, and 8 students at Newburgh Public School have built three Little Community Libraries, now installed and active in front of the school, at the local church, and at “The Hilltop” near the gas station, bakery, and pharmacy.

The Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, Edith Dumont, has provided the following letter for the Class of 2026: As the representative of the Crown in Ontario, it is with great pleasure that I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the Class of 2026.

Grade 11 Health Care and Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) students from Napanee District Secondary School (NDSS) participated in an immersive learning experience recently at the Clinical Simulation Centre at Queen’s University, located in the New Medical Building.
