We are Here to Help
The Limestone District School Board’s Student and Family Support Office is here to help families and students get answers, navigate the system, and connect with the support they need.
This office provides an additional way to support questions or concerns related to a student’s education, especially when an issue is complex or needs further review beyond the school.
Where to Start
In most cases, the quickest and most effective way to address a concern is by contacting the school directly.
Families are encouraged to:
- Speak with the classroom teacher
- Contact the Vice-Principal or Principal
- Continue working with the school team to resolve the concern
Starting at the school level helps build relationships and supports timely solutions.
You can find the contact information for your student’s school through the Limestone DSB School Finder.

The goal is to support positive outcomes for students while maintaining strong relationships at the school level.
Matters Handled Through Other Processes
Some concerns are better addressed through other channels. For example:
- Transportation: Student transportation is managed by Tri-Board Student Transportation
- Human rights concerns: Human rights incidents and complaints can be submitted through the LDSB Student Human Rights Incidents and Complaints Reporting Form
- Employment or administrative matters: Some requests are handled through other areas of the school board. This includes things like staff employment matters, updating contact information, student records, or technical issues. The Student and Family Support Office can direct your question to the appropriate department.
The office will help guide you if another process is more appropriate.
