Entrepreneurship Program

As part of a Ministry of Education initiative, Limestone students in Grades 7–12 will explore entrepreneurship by developing real business or social enterprise ideas with support from local industry and community partners.

Projects may connect to STEM or the skilled trades, helping students build creativity, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

The program will end with a Provincial Showcase in Spring 2026, where students present their ventures to entrepreneurs and community leaders from across Ontario.

Projects can be done by an individual student, small groups of students, a class, or a school club. Students can submit their entrepreneurship proposal online.

Learning Sessions

Learning sessions offer students the opportunity to:

  • Learn key entrepreneurship skills including idea generation, market research, budgeting, project management, and pitching.
  • Collaborate in teams to brainstorm, design, and prototype a product or business concept.
  • Provide feedback to help shape what sessions are being offered based on participants’ interests, with content tailored to the business they want to develop.
  • Build connections and collaborate with other young entrepreneurs, creating a supportive community as they grown their business.
  • Connect with local entrepreneurs and mentors for guidance, inspiration, and feedback.

Learning sessions start on October 27, and continue throughout the fall. Students can register for the BGC workshops online.
