Passing of Reginald Shadbolt, Former Director of Education for the Frontenac County Board of Education
It is with sadness that the Limestone District School Board (LDSB) shares the passing of Reginald Shadbolt, former Director of Education for the Frontenac County Board of Education. The LDSB extends sincere condolences to Mr. Shadbolt’s family and friends.
Mr. Shadbolt had a very distinguished career in public education locally and further afield.
As outlined in his obituary, Mr. Shadbolt was...“A teacher and principal with the Kingston Board of Education; a teaching master at Ottawa Teacher's College; a program consultant with the Ministry of Education; a co-author of a series of mathematics textbooks; a staff leader on developmental courses for teachers and administrators; and [a] Superintendent and then Director of Education for the Frontenac County Board of Education.
“In retirement, he was instrumental in founding the Eastern Ontario Staff Development Network, a valuable support service for teachers and administrators.”
The LDSB Education Centre (board office) will fly its flag at half-mast until further notice.
