Font Size: A+ A- Reset

Professional Activity (P.A.) Days are used for various activities, including assessment, report card preparation, conferencing, school-based planning, school improvement, student achievement updates, instructional strategies to support closing the gap and high achievement, and planning linked to the Board plan for student achievement. On P.A. Days, there are no classes for students.

On the September 2 P.A. Day, staff will engage in a series of mandatory online training modules and important professional learning sessions designed to support a strong start to the school year. Training will include electronic file storage, Aspen IEP use, program priorities from PLT, and school-based start-up planning, with requirements varying by employee group as outlined in the September Mandatory Training 2025–2026 School Year document. In addition, staff will participate in learning and discussions focused on fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment. Topics will include mental health and well-being, bullying prevention, strategies to enhance school safety, and supports for children and students with prevalent medical conditions. Staff will also review concussion awareness and safety in the digital age through responsible technology use. To further strengthen a culture of care, mandatory safety modules such as Safe Schools Training will ensure all staff are equipped with the knowledge and tools to uphold the highest standards of safety and student support.
