Professional Activity (P.A.) Days are used for various activities, including assessment, report card preparation, conferencing, school-based planning, school improvement, student achievement updates, instructional strategies to support closing the gap and high achievement, and planning linked to the Board plan for student achievement. On P.A. Days, there are no classes for students.
On October 10, 2025, all LDSB schools will engage in a full-day Professional Activity Day devoted to advancing instructional practice and enhancing student achievement. Educators will participate in learning sessions focused on interpreting screening data and planning responsive next steps, with board supported AI-powered tools to analyze trends. The day will also include professional learning related to the Student Census and school-based planning aligned with each School Achievement Plan. In addition, dedicated time will be provided for staff to review and refine Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to ensure they continue to meet the diverse needs of students.
