Positive Case of COVID-19 at LCVI

Image of confirmed cases graphic featuring test tubeKFL&A Public Health has been notified that a staff member at Loyalist Collegiate & Vocational Institute (LCVI) tested positive for COVID-19 on April 15, 2021.

KFL&A Public Health is working with the school to identify cohorts of students and staff who may have been in close contact with the COVID-19 positive person at school or during school transportation, if applicable. 

The staff member is isolating and following public health directives. There is no dismissal of cohorts required at this time. Families and staff are asked to monitor for symptoms and seek out testing if symptoms develop.

KFL&A Public Health, the school and board are taking all necessary steps to prevent further spread of the virus both in the school and the community.
