The month of October intentionally holds space to recognize, celebrate and learn from the past and present contributions/experiences of multiple identities and cultural heritages, including Islamic History Month, Women's History Month, Mi'kmaw History Month, and Hispanic Heritage Month.

This edition identifies the difference between cultural appreciation versus appropriation, and provides suggestions to centre, listen, and learn from the lived experiences and perspectives of different identities and communities, in authentic and meaningful ways, as part of the collective path towards cultivating more inclusive and equitable spaces/connections for all.

Curated by the Limestone Equity Team, this monthly newsletter is designed to help all of us tackle anti-racism issues, and build confidence in our ability to talk about anti-racism and equity issues.
