The Ontario Public School Boards' Association (OPSBA) and the provincial government have negotiated a tentative agreement with Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation (OSSTF) teachers and education workers.

The details of the agreement reached April 20, 2020 remain confidential until ratified by all parties.

Agreements were already reached with the other education and support staff unions in Limestone. A tentative agreement with the Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario (ETFO) was reached at the Central Bargaining Table March 20, 2020. Education workers represented by CUPE voted to ratify a central collective agreement in November 2019.

OPSBA President Cathy Abraham extends her personal thanks to
OPSBA negotiating teams, which consist of both OPSBA staff and school board directors and senior staff, for their commitment to this process.

"Our secondary teachers and education workers will play a very important role in guiding our students through the challenging time ahead. This agreement is a recognition that we value the contribution they make to the educational experience of our students every day. We look forward to working together to ensure that we are able to provide an educational experience that is focused on the success and well-being of our students."

The Limestone District School Board is situated on traditional territories of the Anishinaabe & Haudenosaunee.
