Limestone Learning Foundation
The Limestone School of Continuing Education offers programs and courses to help adults develop the knowledge and skills necessary to be successful. We offer a variety of programs as outlined below.

Secondary School Day Credit Program
Earn your Ontario Secondary School Diploma during the day
You may be closer to graduating than you may think
Continuous intake
Classes are available from September to June
Our adult and alternative day school credit program is now located at: Katarokwi Learning Centre38 Cowdy St., Kingston.

Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR)
Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition is the formal evaluation and credit-granting process whereby mature students may obtain credits for prior learning. A mature student is a student 18 years of age and older who was new to the Ontario secondary school system as of February 1, 2004 and is working towards the Ontario Secondary School Diploma under OSS diploma requirements or students who were enrolled as students in the Ontario secondary school system and were placed in Grade 9 in 1999-2000 or later.

Teacher Assisted Self Study Program
The Teacher Assisted Self Study (TASS) Program is an evening correspondence program for adult students age 18 and over who wish to either upgrade their skills or complete their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) requirements. Evening programs available 
Upgrade your skills to qualify for a job or promotion
Apply to college or university or apprenticeship program
Information is available on diploma credit requirements
Earn credits for prior learning and experience
Work independently at your own pace
Qualified teachers are available on site for assistance

Workplace Training and Academic Upgrading for Adults
Occupation specific curriculum
Employment Readiness Workshops 
Academic assessments and upgrading to prepare you for post-secondary education or the workplace.

Adult (ESL) English as a Second Language Program
Classes are available from September to August
Monday to Friday
Morning and afternoon classes
Continuous intake
Beginner/intermediate/advanced levels available
Language instruction is based on the Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB)

International Languages Program
Knowing languages is more important today, than ever before. Knowledge of other languages offers us a better understanding of Canada and Canadians, providing an opportunity to see both the similarities and the differences among people. Limestone District School Board offers FREE language to elementary age children. Classes run after school and on Saturday mornings throughout the school year. Languages offered: Arabic, Chinese, Filipino, Greek, Hebrew, Portuguese, Hindi, Korean, Russian, Urdu.

Essential Skills For Work Learning and Life
Young adults, 19-25 years old with intellectual exceptionalities learn about healthy living, relationships, physical fitness and being an active member in their community.

Interest Courses
In Napanee, we offer a variety of interest courses for adults and children including the Babysitter’s Course, badminton, volleyball, basketball and more.  For a complete list of our current courses, please contact our main office at 613-542-7369.
