Pathway - Workplace




Some students will choose to go to work directly after high school.  These students will receive on the job training and remain in the workplace or return to school for more education and training.  Schools offer program to prepare students for the world of work.  Specific courses and program pathways provide students with the opportunities to learn the essential skills necessary for the workplace.  Some of the programs available to students are…

Prepare your resume and cover letter
- Get Experience:
Register for high school cooperative education programs
- Local Employers:
Research local employers using “Job Connect” assistance (see below)
- Apply:
Complete application process including application forms and resumes
- Support:
Contact your counselor for assistance with all the above.


How To Apply and Learn More

  • Direct entry into the workplace requires early and careful planning with your guidance counselor
  • Job Connect, an outside agency, can also assist with placement.
