Investing Together In Our Students' Future

...Breaking News!

LLF shatters $1 million milestone!

Making Learning Come Alive Endowment Campaign surpasses expectations.

In late 2005, the Limestone Learning Foundation (LLF) launched an ambitious objective of growing the Limestone Learning Foundation Endowment Fund to exceed 1 million dollars! Volunteers began to approach friends and supporters of the LLF as well as other community leaders throughout the Limestone District to share their exciting vision.

The LLF Board is pleased to announce to our community that the "Making Learning Come Alive!" Endowment Campaign has recently surpassed $1,123,000 in cash and multi-year pledges to the endowment fund, on its way to building this special Trust which will be held in perpetuity.

Appreciation is extended to our donors whose commitment has helped ensure our success!

"Making Learning Come Alive!" Endowment Campaign

"Government funding will suffice for a standard education ...
excellence requires philanthropy."

Like most other charities, the Limestone Learning Foundation raises funds throughout the year from individuals, companies, service organizations, special events, and other sources. The LLF uses these funds to provide grants to schools for enhanced learning projects, each of which is designed to help make learning come alive for our students.

In addition to this annual funding, the Board of Directors realized that, in order to ensure stable, sustainable funding into the future, its long-range Vision for the LLF must also include a permanent endowment fund, the capital of which would never be spent. The earned income from the investment of this restricted trust would be added to money raised annually to ensure a continual source of funds to support our learning projects.

7102008_21941_0.pngIn late 2005, the "Making Learning Come Alive!" Endowment Campaign was launched with an ambitious goal of growing the LLF Endowment Fund to more than 1 million dollars!  Volunteers began to approach friends and supporters of the LLF as well as other community leaders throughout the Limestone District to share their exciting vision and to invite them to make a tax-deductible gift or multi-year pledge - one of the best investments in their future they could ever make!

Without a doubt, the campaign has been a great success - as of November 2009, we have exceeded the milestone of $1,000,000 in cash and multi-year pledges to the endowment fund!  We're on our way to our next million, and you can help!

This is a perfect opportunity for you to make a direct difference in a lasting way in how and what our children will learn - you can make our schools even better than they already are and your gift will keep on giving year after year.  But the benefit goes even further.  When we invest in our childrens' education, we all benefit.  From our neighbourhoods, to our communities, to society as a whole, everyone is better off because we made a difference today in the lives of our children - our future.

Won't you consider a gift to the "Making Learning Come Alive!" Endowment Campaign?? We can't imagine a better investment and the return is tremendous!

Special Thanks
"Making Learning Come Alive!" Endowment Campaign
