Regional Decisions for Region 3

  2. Deadline for entries: Tuesday., May 25, 2010 - deadline is firm

  3. Meet Date: Tuesday, June 1, 2010

  4. Cost: $3 per competitor - Please bring a cheque payable to LESAA with you to the meet - there is no fee for the district meet

  5. Start Time: 8:30 am for 3000m - 9:00 for all other events

  6. Number of competitors per school per event  (excluding relays)?  4

  7. Schools are responsible for providing adults to act as timers and judges.  We have 11 schools and need 16 adults at both meets.
    Number of adults provided by each school for finish line - must total at least 16:
    Regional Meet:
    Winston Churchill - 2 adults
    Vanier - 2 adult
    Rideau - 2 adults
    Calvin Park - 2 adults
    Sydenham - 1 adult
    Centennial - 1 adult
    Lord Strathcona - 1 adults
    Polson Park - 1 adult
    Truedell - 1 adult
    Central - 1 adult
    Henderson -
    2 adults
     

  8. Schools responsible for elementary school student helpers:- It is a good idea to bring extra helpers so that helpers are not stuck at an event all day

    • High Jump Pit 1 (2 students) - Truedell

    • High Jump Pit 2 (2 students) - Polson

    • Long Jump Pit 1(3 students) - Rideau

    • Triple Jump Pit 2(3 students) - Winston

    • Long/Triple Pit (3 students)  - Vanier

    • Shot Put (3 students) - Calvin Park

    • Runners (2 students)  - Strathcona

    • Ribbons (3 students) - Henderson

  9. Schools responsible for providing one adult for the relay zones:
                1st corner: Henderson & Strathcona
                2nd corner: Winston & Vanier
                3rd corner: Sydenham & Central

     

  1. Parking Information for Track & Field Meets - please forward with your permission slip.

     PLEASE NOTE: PARKING CHANGES AT RICHARDSON STADIUM

     Effective June 1, 2009 the gravel lots at Richardson Stadium are being converted to paid parking.  The north parking lot will be strictly for monthly permit parking while the south lot (near the tennis courts) will be for hourly and daily parkingThe cost for daily parking is $1.00 per hour up to a daily maximum of $4.00.

     A reminder - vehicles MUST be parked in a valid parking space.  Vehicles MUST NOT be parked along the roadways, on grass or outside the curbstonesVehicles parked in the lots without a pay and display permit or in no parking areas will be ticketed and/or towed.  The Parking Office will again barricade the roadways to the stadium to ensure vehicles are not parked at the back of the stadium – we have done this to ensure the safety of the children participating in the events.

     Please help ensure the safety of the children by obeying the signs posted along the roadways.

  3. Inclement weather:
    In case the meet has to be canceled due to inclement weather, an announcement will be put on the radio, as will as posted on the web site and first class by 6:30 am. If you are not sure contact me at 389-6367
