Coach’s Field Notes:

Welcome to the Limestone District Cross Country Championship! Last year
we hosted about 980 enthusiastic young runners at Fort Henry. Once again the
Royal Military College Cross Country Team has offered their support with the Fort
Henry Cross Country Meet.

 In order to ensure the meet is a success there are a number of things you and your
athletes need to know:

bullet

No preregistration is necessary for this meet. Upon arrival, be sure to pick up your tags
 and pins at the finish line
.

bullet

Each coach’s should download course maps from this site.

bullet

Coaches should walk their team around the course before the 10:30 a.m. start time;

bullet

Athletes must be wearing a pinned name tag (label) with his/her name (DO
NOT PEEL THE TAG AND STICK IT TO AN ATHLETES SHIRT!)

bullet

Girls, Midget Boys;

bullet

Each coach is responsible for collecting finishing cards, completing the team
scoring sheet (top 4 count, with the 4th runner’s position to break ties), and
returning it to the scorer’s table located at the end of the finisher’s chute
immediately following each race; there will be no calculation of overall meet
school rankings;

bullet

Individual results boards will be posted near the canteen as soon as possible
following each race and team results will be announced at the end of the Meet;

bullet

Individual medals to the top 10, in each age category, will be awarded
immediately following each race as athletes exit the finish chute

bullet

medals will be awarded to the top 3 people of each team in all categories will
be awarded at the end of the Meet;
