About LESAA:
The Limestone Elementary School Athletics
Association is the committee responsible for the inter-school sports
programs in the Limestone District School Board. This page is intended
to make available to all elementary schools in the Limestone District
information pertaining to all inter-school sports in the district. For
more information on the organization and structure of LESAA please
refer to the LESAA constitution. Meet and tournament information, rules
and regulations regarding the various events, dates for events, news
updates,
district tournaments (divisions, dates, locations, conveners,
results), as well as any other pertinent information for all sports
will be available through this page..

Change in Rule for volleyball:
 |
There has been a change
in the rules regarding player's faults at the net. Here is the new OVA
rule regarding play at the net.
 |
Rule 11.3
|
Players may
touch the post, ropes, or any other object outside the
antennae, including the net itself, providing it does not
interfere with play. |
|
|
Rule 11.3.1(New)
|
Contact with
the net by a player
is
not a
fault,
unless it interferes with the play. |
|
|
Rule 11.4 (NEW)
|
Player's Faults
at the the NET:
|
A player
causes a fault
if
they interfere with opponents play
by;
|
Touching the top band on the net or the top 80cm of the
antennae during their action of paying the ball |
|
Taking
support from the net simultaneously with playing the
ball |
|
Creating an advantage over the opponent |
|
Making
actions which hinder an opponent's legitimate attempts
to play the ball. |
|

|
|
It is strongly
suggested that coaches watch the following video on utube. In the
video clearly shows the differences between last year's rule and the new
rule.
