Board of Trustees
As elected representatives, trustees are the critical link between school boards and the communities they serve. Trustees ensure our schools meet the diverse needs of all learners, and advocate at a provincial level to further enhance the public education experience. School board trustees play an important role in our community, advocating for a strong, public education system that is open to all and democratically governed.
Trustees are elected by the public school taxpayers every four years, during municipal elections and are directly accountable to the community. The LDSB wishes to acknowledge the commitment shown by all trustee candidates to the democratic process and their keen interest in supporting quality public education in Ontario, and the students and staff of the LDSB. current term runs from December 1, 2010 to November 30, 2014.
The Board also has two Student Trustees who serve a one-year term and are elected by the Limestone District Inter-School Student Council.
You may get in touch with trustees at home or send a letter to their attention at the Limestone District School Board Education Centre. To communicate with all trustees at once, write to the Chair of the Board.
