The Limestone District School Board’s philosophy of Special Education programs and services is derived from a mission statement developed collaboratively by the Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) and Educational Services. This philosophy is based upon
the school being the center of an inclusive community. Students are active participants who can and should be taught to advocate for their own needs so that they have the opportunity to achieve their maximum potential.
Our mission is to provide a safe, positive, and caring learning environment, which enables all students to acquire useful knowledge and skills, a positive attitude, and a well-founded self-confidence. Our purpose is to build a foundation for all students to develop to their full potential and have fulfilling and meaningful lives as well-balanced, productive citizens.
