The Limestone District School Board is fortunate to have received approval and funding for the construction of new schools wihtin our district. Below you will find information on recently approved construction projects currently under way.
Kingston Intermediate & Secondary School
Trustees voted to build a new composite intermediate and secondary school to consolidate secondary students from Kingston Collegiate & Vocational Institute (KCVI), Queen Elizabeth Collegiate & Vocational Institute (QECVI) and relocate Grade 7 and 8 intermediate French Immersion/Extended French students from Module Vanier. The school will be constructed on the Queen
Elizabeth Collegiate & Vocational Institute (QECVI) property. The decision follows a Program & Accommodation Review of intermediate and secondary schools in the central area of Kingston. The Ministry of Education has provided the Board with $36 million for the project, which is now in the planning phase. For more information on the new intermediate and secondary school click here.
