Pathways

At LDSB we value every pathway that students will follow to find meaningful careers and become valued members of our society. Our goal is to support students in high levels of achievement in programs that lead towards their life destinations.

What is a Program Pathway?
A Program Pathway is a selection of credits and experiences a student may choose in secondary school in collaboration with parents/guardians, teachers and guidance counsellors that will guide students through to one of four possible post secondary destinations.
Students in Limestone will have the opportunity to select courses that can lead to Direct Entry into the Workplace, University, College or Apprenticeship upon completion of secondary school.

Choosing a Pathway
All students will enter the workforce, although there are many factors to consider before making a successful transition from secondary to the next step. Listed below are some of the things to be considered before a student makes a final decision.
  •         preferred learning style
  •         most recent level of achievement
  •         interests and abilities
  •         immediate educational needs
This area of the website provides teachers with a number of supports and resources in pathways. Click on the links at the left to learn more.
