At the Limestone District School Board we value every pathway that students follow to find meaningful careers and become valued members of our society. Our goal is to support students in high levels of achievement in programs that lead toward their life destinations.

What is a Program Pathway?

A Program Pathway is a selection of credits and experiences a student may choose in secondary school in collaboration with parents/guardians, teachers and guidance counsellors toward success in one of four possible post secondary destinations:
  • College
  • University
  • Workplace
  • Apprenticeship Programs
Choosing a Pathway

All students will enter the workforce. Some of the many factors to consider before making a successful transition to a career are listed below:
  • Most recent levels of achievement
  • Preferred learning style
  • Strengths, interests and abilities
  • Immediate educational needs
