Kindergarten
A Rainbow of Opportunity
If you do not know your neighbourhood school, check out School Locator on our website or call our Planning Department at 613-544-6920, extension 305.
Kindergarten is the beginning of an exciting learning journey. Limestone Kindergarten programs provide students the opportunity for learning, self-expression and self-discovery in all areas of the curriculum - language, mathematics, science & technology, physical education and the arts, all offered within a welcoming and nurturing environment.
In the Limestone District School Board we are committed to your child's development from Kindergarten to graduation. Together, we can help your child realize his/her dreams.
Please contact your local school to register your child for Kindergarten this September or print the Kindergarten registration form, fill it out and take it your local school during office hours, along with your child's health card, immunization record, and birth certificate.
The Limestone District School Board welcomes Junior and Senior Kindergarten students to its schools year round, but encourages parents and guardians to pre-register children in February for the upcoming school year.
Children may start school in September if they turn age 4 (Junior Kindergarten) or turn age 5 (Senior Kindergarten) by December 31st of that year. Those students already enrolled in Junior Kindergarten do not need to register again.
At the time of registration please bring:
• proof of your child's age (birth certificate, baptismal certificate, passport, etc.)
• your child's Ontario Health Card (optional)
