Season IV of Learning in Limestone launches with a new format...double the hosts! When faced with three strong finalists for the new season, and a returning host who still has lots to contribute, what do you do? Increase the mentorship opportunities and have four students share the responsibilities of hosting the show. Nathaniel Trask, Maleah McDaniel and Sydney Van Camp will join veteran student host Andrew Molina for Season IV. Learning in Limestone is a weekly segment featuring the diverse learning experiences and innovative practices underway in classrooms across the Limestone district. This unique series is a co-production with CKWS-TV cable 10.

These three students are currently attending the LDSB Focus Program 'Studio LC' at LCVI for Semester 1. In February Nathaniel will return to his home school LaSalle SS to complete grade 12. Meleah McDaniel, a student at LCVI, will return to a regular course load as she completes her fourth year, and Sydney, who is in grade 11 will head back to her home school Sydenham HS in for Semester II.

Learning in Limestone airs on CKWS TV, cable 10, A new episode of Learning in Limestone premieres every Thursday morning during the Morning Show with an encore presentation during The WS Daily at 5:20 p.m.

The goal of Learning in Limestone is twofold: to showcase the Board’s educational programs and to provide a rich and authentic learning experience for the student host. Learning in Limestone provides our students with a cooperative education experience that allows them to experience broadcast journalism in a fast-paced, real-world environment. The LDSB values the importance of student leadership and the contribution our student leaders make to the learning process. Our role is to serve students, and there is no better way to serve students than to ensure they have a voice.
