About the School Council Liaison (PIC) Committee
The Limestone District School Board believes that relationships between its schools and their communities can be enhanced through the establishment of local School Councils which serve as an ongoing mechanism for effective two-way communication and consultation between the school and the school community. Every school in our district has a School Council.
The School Council Liaison Parent Involvement Committee (PIC), meets on a regular basis throughout the year and provide valuable input in a number of areas: review of Board Policies, Assessment Results, new Legislative Changes, to name a few. Members of the School Council Liaison (PIC) Committee actively participate on Work Teams such as the School Year Calendar and Principal Appointments. The Liaison Committee assists in organizing a Spring Forum for parents each year. Parents have an opportunity to attend a variety of workshops.
